Explain This to Me

It snowed here for the first time this season. Also for the first time, Genevieve was really excited about it. She was running around the house screaming, "That's so cool!", "Look how pretty!", "That's awesome!", "G-vieve go tell Dada it's snowing!", "DADA!!!! It's snowing!!!", "Where's the snowman?", "Mommy, where's the snowman?", "Mommy where did the snowman go?!?", "Mommy go find the snowman."
I tried to explain to Genevieve that it had just started snowing and there wasn't enough out there to make a snowman. She assumed that I just didn't understand the question. I told her that if there was enough snow after class that she and I would make one. This seemed to calm her. Too bad the snow was mostly gone before class was even over.



Noodles was spayed and de-clawed this week. It seemed like such a good idea at the time, but she looks so pitiful now. Genevieve is very glad that Noodles is back from the doctor but is very unhappy with the cone around her head. "Mommy take off the hat." "Kitty no like hat; mommy take it off." "Kitty NO LIKE IT. Mommy take it OFF." I've had to stop Genevieve several times from trying to take the cone off of the cat herself. Thankfully we only have to do this for two weeks.
