Everybody's A Comedian

Well, maybe not my kids. Their delivery is awful and most of their jokes don't make any sense. For weeks Sophie's been telling knock-knock jokes and while her comedy styling has improved it is still lacking something. Let me give you some examples.


Sophie: Knock. Knock.
Me: Who's There?
Sophie: *giggling* funny. *giggling*

I think she was just seeing if she could get me to say something.

Sophie: Knock. Knock.
Me: Who's there?
Sophie: Orange
Me: Orange who?
Sophie: *giggling* funny *giggling*

Okay, we're closer to a joke here but again it's missing something.

Her current incarnation is as follows.
Sophie: Knock. Knock.
Me: Who's there?
Sophie: Boo. (this is promising)
Me: Boo who?
Sophie: *giggling* Orange! *giggling*

*sigh*

She loves this joke and told it at dinner about 35 times. Most of the time she directs her jokes to Genevieve because she's the only one patient enough to keep answering the door.
