Legend of the Drunken Master

Sophie takes walking very seriously. I am amazed every day at her determination. She walks as much as she can, falls, gets right back up and keeps on going. You would think someone was paying her to do it. She has a LOT of bumps and bruises and she looks like Frankenstein after one too many, but I think she is doing great.

Climbing

Sophie works very hard on her climbing skills. It's not uncommon to hear Genevieve say, "Mommy! Sophie's on top of my table again!" Here are some shots of her in action.

Peek-a-Boo!!!

Here is a video of Sophie playing, and saying, peek-a-boo. The video is a little wobbly due to the fact that Genevieve is trying to climb me during filming.

Trick of the Week

Sophie is taking a break from her walking lessons (more like running and then instantly falling, but anyway...) to tackle climbing. She has been able to climb a flight of stairs for a while now but this week she has decided that she must climb everything in sight. She will even push a chair closer to a table so she can climb from the chair onto the table. I try to limit the table climbing but otherwise try to let her explore her world as unencumbered as possible. I'll be sure to post pictures of her first concussion.

The Bigger the Girl, the Bigger the Toys?

Genevieve is 3.5 years old now so her Georgia grandparents decided that it was time for her to have her own motorized vehicles. She was a pretty awful driver at first but quickly learned how to steer, back up, and park. She's now a better driver than most of the people I see on a daily basis.
